10 Highest Salaries for Female Execs in Retail
Repeating at the top of the female salary list in retailing is Andrea Jung, President and CEO of Avon, who earned more than $11 million dollars last year. Although her total compensation package leads the pack it is actually $2.7 million less than last year when she brought in a combined $13.7 million. No doubt this is a reflection of the recession, but it is hardly hard times for Jung, who still earned more than $2 million more than the second-place executive.
Along with Jung, the following executives make return appearances to the top-salary list: Carol M. Meyrowitz of TJX, Katherine Krill of Ann Taylor, Trudy Sullivan of Talbots, Diane Chang of Abercrombie & Fitch and Leslee Herro of Abercrombie & Fitch. Meyrowitz jumps up a spot to the #3 position, while Krill drops down a spot to the #4 position.
Sullivan has the biggest drop on the list, moving from position #2 to #6 after earning about $1 million less than last year. Chang and Herro claim the #7 and #8 spots (respectively) on this year's list earning roughly the same amount as they did the previous year.
Two retailers, Abercrombie & Fitch and eBay, post two executives each to the list. Newcomers include Sharen J. Turney of Victoria's Secret Group, Carol B. Tome of Home Depot, Elizabeth L. Axelrod of eBay and Lorrie M. Norrington of eBay.
