2019 Oscars of Retail Technology Announced
No matter what you call it, the annual RIS Software LeaderBoard is one of the most influential studies in retail technology. It is a must-read for retailers making plans for future IT investments and by investment advisers looking for future tech acquisitions.
Many people in the industry call the LeaderBoard the Oscars of retail technology, a well-deserved nickname for a ground-breaking report now in its 19th year.
What makes it unique is that it clearly spotlights retail software vendors in head-to-head competition based on customer satisfaction scores, i.e. ratings based on evaluations by end users of the software. The LeaderBoard does not pull its punches nor use funny bubbles or dots or waves or hieroglyphics of any kind that obscure results.
In the LeaderBoard, the rankings are clear, liberated of corporate sponsorship to influence results and free of analyst spin, since the data is collected by an independent third-party research firm and then sent to RIS to publish.
