Aberdeen Releases Supply Chain Study

3/30/2007

The Aberdeen Group has released "The Global Supply Visibility & Performance Benchmark Report," available for download from its web site (see link below).

The report, authored by Aberdeen vice president Sudy Bharadwaj, is based on input from 110 enterprises, including retailers and manufacturers. The information for the study was gathered between July and August.

The 33-page report presents the characteristics of best-in-class enterprises in the area of global supply visibility and performance (GSVP), and shares some measures of their success. It also explores topics such as international sourcing risks, and ranks the key pressures that are causing companies to implement GSVP programs.

The report also presents key performance indicators (KPIs) for best-in-class enterprises vs. average performers vs. laggard performers.
