Apparel Receives Journalism Award
Apparel received an award for editorial excellence in the annual GAMMA Awards journalism competition sponsored by the Magazine Association of the Southeast (MAGS).
The magazine won a bronze award in the Best Feature category for B2B magazines for "Full Package Face-Off," by senior editor Jordan K. Speer. The article was featured in the October 2003 issue of Apparel, and addressed the challenges facing Central America on the eve of global quota elimination.
A record 370 entries from 49 publications were entered in this year's competition, which includes B2B, consumer and association publications. Fourteen independent judges chose the winners.
