Argoz Brings Sock Production Back to U.S.

10/23/2013
Bucking the trend to offshore everything from clothing to code, a San Francisco accessories company is taking steps to bring some of its manufacturing back to the U.S. in response to increasing demand for made-in-America apparel.

"Our customers are asking for socks made in America, and we're proud to deliver," said Dan Soha, founder of Argoz, a company that specializes in premium socks and accessories. "Not only are we answering a consumer need, we're bringing production back to our own shores to support the American economy and help other small businesses.

"We partnered with a family-owned manufacturer in North Carolina, who uses combed cotton that's grown and spun in the U.S. Small production runs make each style a limited edition and allow us to offer a larger assortment to our customers. The end product is a very unique, high quality sock with a fantastic feel and exceptional durability."

The Made-in-America sock collection is called the Classic and debuts with three vibrant color combinations that come in regular, large and knee-high sock sizes.

Kick It – Orange, neon green, white with an electric purple overcheck
Dark Horse – Dark grey, white, cobalt with an orange overcheck
Front Runner – Cobalt, white, dark grey with an orange overcheck

"As a fashion startup dedicated to quality and unique design, we are extremely conscientious about where we source our products," said Soha. "We find the best manufacturers around the globe that specialize in each product that we make. We will continue to produce our Primo collection in Italy for the finest Merino wool and tailored craftsmanship available.

"The Luxe collection will still hail from Turkey for its state-of-the-art patterning and unparalleled color selection," he added. "And now our Classics will be produced right here in the U.S. to offer the best made-to-last socks to our customers and boost our own economy along the way."
