Ariat Recalls FR Work Shirts

Ariat issued a notification asking customers to return three styles of men's flame-resistant woven work shirts due to inconsistent performance ratings. The shirts can be identified by the style number printed on the tag sewn onto the shirts' side seams.

Ariat products undergo rigorous testing of raw materials and finished apparel to ensure quality and performance and to conform to National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards. During routine finished-product testing, samples of these three styles performed inconsistently with NFPA 2112 standards.

Ariat has not received reports of any incidents or product failures associated with these three work shirt styles, and they do not present a safety risk. Nevertheless, Ariat is voluntarily removing these products from the marketplace. No other products are involved.

"We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause our customers," said Beth Cross, Ariat Founder and President. "Our customers and retail partners can be assured that Ariat apparel will meet the highest standards of quality and safety."

Ariat has contacted all retailers that carried these products to remove the styles from stores. Customers who purchased any of these shirts on Ariat's website have also been notified.

Anyone who purchased at least one of these three shirt styles should contact Ariat customer service at (877) 702-7428 to return the product in exchange for online store credit toward another Ariat product.
