Barnes & Noble, JCP, Sears to Close Hundreds of Stores in 2013
After the magical 2012 holiday season settles, retailers release their annual sales and earnings reports. The holidays are often a make it or break it period. In the first quarter of the year many retailers assess store opening and store closings for the year. Some retailers who are making such plans have been struggling for many years. Others, such as Barnes & Noble and Gamestop, are fighting for relevance in the digital era.
