Best Buy Kicks Off Holiday Season With Free Next-Day Delivery

Just in time for the holidays, Best Buy will offer free next-day delivery on thousands of items to 99% of customers.

The new delivery service covers items like tablets, headphones and espresso machines, but not heavier things like big-screen TVs and refrigerators. And, according to Best Buy, the 1% of customers who live in areas where the free next-day service is not available will still get free standard shipping on all items, all holiday season long. No membership or minimum purchase is required.

Best Buy also offers same-day delivery in 42 U.S. metro cities for orders completed on BestBuy.com before 3 p.m. local time (2 p.m. local time on Sundays).

The retailer notes 70% of Americans live within 10 miles of a Best Buy store and about 40% of online sales are picked up in stores.

With the holidays approaching, Best Buy is also offering the Best Buy Gift Center for ideas on thousands of the season’s latest tech gifts and starting Oct. 27, Best Buy current Total Tech Support members can save $50 when they buy Total Tech Support as a gift.
