Best Buy Store Sales Climb

Best Buy reports a seven percent increase in sales at stores open at least 14 months. The company attributes much of the higher sales to strong demand for flat-panel televisions and laptop computers. The consumer electronics retail chain reported December revenues rose 15 percent to $6.6 billion. Post revenue gains are expected to be near 16 percent in fiscal 2007 and same-store sales to be approximately five percent.
