BJ's Announces Increased Sales, Discontinues Restaurant Supply Club
BJ's Wholesale Club announces that net sales were approximately $2.1 billion in the third quarter of 2007, an increase of 8 percent over the third quarter of 2006. Merchandise comparable club sales increased 4 percent and comparable club sales increased 3.4 percent. Gasoline sales in the third quarter had a -.2 percent impact and pharmacy closures had a -.4 percent impact. During the third quarter, BJ's discontinued operations of the company's Profoods Restaurant Supply Clubs.
