Cadbury Schweppes Vending Machines Accept Contactless Payment
Dr Pepper and Snapple vending machines will become contactless payment friendly in three U.S. cities: Dallas, New York and Chicago. Mastercard is providing the software that enables the machines to accept all major credit cards and USA Technologies is providing the e-Port device which facilitates contactless payments. Though the new system begins with 1,000 machines it will ultimately incorporate 5,000 POS terminals and vending machines in a dozen U.S. cities. The rollout is expected to be completed in early 2007.
