The vest features a unique Universal Fit design and a run time of up to 44 hours with the company's lithium-ion battery packs, or indefinite run-time when plugged into a vehicle power source.

When outdoors for extended periods of work or play, dressing appropriately is important for both comfort and safety, especially in winter. Following on the huge success of the MOTIONHeat Glove Liners, POWERinMOTION debuted the new MOTIONHeat Vest.

"We Canadians are experts in cold. We test and develop some of the best heated-wear because of our climate," says POWERinMOTION owner and entrepreneur Ken Cheung. "Everyone who loved our heated gloves wanted to see more so we delivered with this new heated vest. It's a game-changer."

The vest features a unique Universal Fit design and a run time of up to 44 hours with the company's lithium-ion battery packs, or indefinite run-time when plugged into a vehicle power source. As a heated mid-layer, the vest works underneath the user's existing outerwear (eg., uniform, jacket or coveralls). "The idea was to make a heated vest that was as versatile as possible, it can even power our glove liners, while also keeping the heat pressed against the core of the body," says Cheung. "We created a design that works for as many people, and in as many conditions, as possible."

MOTIONHeat Vest vs. typical competitor

  • Universal Fit design (accommodates widest range of body types)
  • Fixed sizes for certain body types are limiting, especially for women
  • Superior lithium-ion battery packs (increases portability and performance)
  • Typical batteries are bulky and underperforming
  • Four pockets for up to four packs (improved flexibility and up to 44 hours runtime)
  • One pocket for your one battery which will be unbalanced (and time limited)
  • Utilize packs and vehicle power (our power adapters add more flexibility)
  • One source or the other, not both
  • Connects with heated glove liners and foot-wear (even more flexibility)
  • No integration with other heated clothing

Whether at work (law enforcement, utilities, oil & gas), at play (cyclists, skiers and snowboarders) or at home (circulatory issues, medical conditions), the benefits of the MOTIONHeat vest are far reaching.

"It's ground-breaking," says Cheung, "and we are proud to bring this Canadian product line to the international market."

The MOTIONHeat Vest will be available in December, 2017.
