Canadian Military Organization Deploys Jesta I.S.

CANEX, the retail division of the Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS), has chosen Jesta I.S.'s end-to-end retail suite to elevate its point of sale, clienteling, and head office merchandising capabilities, and enable unified commerce in order to deliver an inspiring shopping experience to its members and customers.

CFMWS employs approximately 5,000 personnel located on military bases, wings, units, and at its headquarters in Ottawa, to serve both active duty and retired Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) personnel and their families. As a fundamentally social enterprise, CFMWS' ultimate aim is to enhance the well-being and quality of life of the members of the military community through various divisional operations, including retail services. CANEX assists in meeting the myriad challenges of military life by anticipating and conveniently providing the goods and services needed by their members. This core mission ensures the operational readiness and effectiveness of the CAF and was the impetus for pursuing a revamp of the software solutions powering their core retail operations.

CANEX was looking to transform its operations and related processes based on proven best business practices for retail. Centralization of head office merchandising operations and empowering store associates with real-time decision support and customer management tools to deliver an exceptional shopping experience were at the core of this mandate. Therefore, the need for a holistic change arose not only from the perspective of customers, but also system users who were facing the challenge of navigating multiple disparate systems, manual processes and limited capabilities for enhanced marketing, key merchandising and analytics.

In order to deliver on the central promise of providing a seamless and rewarding shopping experience for its members, CANEX will leverage Jesta's fully integrated omnichannel retail suite, comprised of merchandising, CRM, endless aisle management, point of sale, distributed order management and financial modules as well as advanced business intelligence, reporting and mobile capabilities. CANEX will use Jesta's solutions to provide its patrons with various incentives such as member-only pricing, a loyalty program and an unbeatable "No Interest Credit Plan" for purchases.

CANEX will leverage Jesta's end-to-end solutions to effectively support strategic business objectives and existing operations in both Canadian official languages of English and French. Jesta I.S. will also provide hosting and managed services as well as implementation and change management services to ensure a smooth transition onto the new platform.
