Celerant Technology® and Management One™ Partner to Offer Open-To-Buy Services to Retailers


Celerant Technology, provider of retail management solutions, has announced a strategic partnership with Management One™, a  provider of open-to-buy and merchandise planning solutions, to enable both small and large retailers to forecast inventory, control budgets, optimize sales and maximize profits.

Cost-effective and accurate merchandise planning for SMB retailers. Celerant offers two retail solutions — Stratus Enterprise™, a comprehensive and customizable solution integrating all channels in real-time; and Cumulus Retail™, an affordable and scalable SaaS point of sale with e-commerce. With these solutions, retailers can manage their store, website, marketplace integrations and digital marketingin a single platform, the company reports.

Through Celerant’s integration with Management One, data is automatically transferred from Celerant’s point of sale database to Management One in real-time, including inventory, sales, accounting and financial data. Leveraging this data, Management One’s Retail Experts can conduct a deep-dive analysis of a retailer's business and help to determine accurate inventory levels and reorder points; optimize sales and markdown strategies; and identify new growth opportunities. In addition, Management One provides retailers with a snapshot of their business, including benchmarking, sales trends, inventory turnover, profit margins, debt-to-worth ratio, store performance, and a review of other touchpoints.

Integrated open-to-buy and point of sale retail solution. Using artificial intelligence and machine learning, Management One will create a custom program to promote the financial success of each retailer, with 94 percent accuracy when followed correctly, Celerant reports. 

Management One can also customize a plan for those retailers who are behind in their payables and other expenses. Using Celerant’s retail system, retailers can implement a strategy based on Management One’s recommendations. Retailers can easily set up minimum/maximum thresholds and automate the reordering process with their distributors when inventory is low; allocate merchandise to the stores that need it most; create markdowns and personalized promotions to get rid of excess inventory and increase sales; optimize staff schedules and time-off to reduce labor overhead; and more.
