Chico's Digital Initiatives Drive In-Store Engagement

Chico's continues to blur the line between online and physical retailing by infusing its brick-and-mortar locations with the latest digital offerings. The specialty retailer's Digital Retail Theatre, supported by a cloud-based platform, allows for collaboration between customers and associates. Key mobility projects underway include iPad applications for retail associates, iOS and Android apps for customers, mobile POS, and location sensing technologies. 
 
At Engage! 2015 VP, technology, stores & applications, Bob Gras will share how Chico's is leveraging these initiatives along with a slew of next-gen solutions to supercharge customer engagement. In addition to the mobile offerings Chico's is experimenting with touch and gesture sensitive interactive displays, augmented reality, 3D printing, and digital signage.
 
Gras leads teams in the areas of Chico’s Digital Retail Theatre (omnichannel), retail store systems, innovation, CRM, and application development. Gras has extensive IT experience in global organizations across several industries. Prior to joining Chico’s FAS, he served as a technology executive at Viva International Group, Zausner Foods, and Tommy Hilfiger. Throughout his career, Gras has led the development of custom applications, implementation of enterprise-wide software packages, and integration of software as a service (SaaS).  His leadership of mobility solutions has included tablet-based sales force automation and mobile POS.

Engage! 2014 will be held October 8-10, 2014 at the Ritz Carlton in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
