Coldwater Creek announces a rise in net and comparable sales for the first quarter of 2007. Net sales increased 30.7 percent to $281.3 million, up from $215.3 million in the first quarter of 2006. Comparable store sales also increased, up 7.3 percent. Net income for the first quarter increased four percent to $12 million, up from $11.6 million at this time last year. Net sales from the retail segment of the company, which includes retail and outlet stores and six test spa locations, increased 43.8 percent to $184.9 million. Direct segment net sales increased 11.2 percent and Internet net sales increased 18.5 percent.
