Goodbye POP! Rewards, hello Organized Insider.

Reported by RIS earlier this year, The Container Store has finally launched its new loyalty program, Organized Insider. The company will be sunsetting its previous iteration.

The new tier-based program rewards consumer engagement, providing amenities such as receipt-free returns and a birthday discount, in addition to exclusive access to new products and events, priority shopping, and access to an annual Insider Savings Day.

The three tiers are:

  • Enthusiast ($0 - 299): All members access receipt-free returns, bonus savings days, birthday discounts, and one Insider Savings Day per year
  • Experienced ($300 - $999): Enthusiast benefits plus new tier achievement savings, early access to select new products, shopping events, and larger discounts
  • Expert ($1,000+): Experienced benefits with additional discounts, exclusive event invitations, and an annual year-end gift

Alongside the rewards initiative comes the brand’s new dedicated mobile app, from which consumers can check on their order status, get updates from the retailer, and find project-based inspiration and tips. It can be downloaded on the Apple App Store and Google Play.

Consumers can access an Organized Insider dashboard — which provides an overview of their rewards status, available offers, benefits, and the spend they need to rise to the next tier — from either the mobile app or on the company’s website. Currently, new members receive $10 off a $75 purchase.

All 10.8 million POP! members will be automatically transferred to the new program. They will receive their tier based on their 2021 spending level, or recent 2022 spend, along with information on how the new program works.

POP! Rewards ranked among the hottest retail loyalty programs in 2022. See who else made the cut.

The Container Store’s chief marketing officer, Melissa Collins, said the company has reimagined its loyalty program to provide consumers with additional benefits within a platform that is easy to understand and access.

“The new tier-based model will encourage repeat purchases and attract new customers,” she added. “Both Organized Insider and our new mobile app are essential elements of our overall customer experience, and we look forward to seeing how customers respond.”

The initiatives are the latest in the company’s plans to elevate the consumer experience. Last year, The Container Store announced it would be simplifying the post-purchase experience for consumers, instilling confidence in their e-commerce interactions at every touchpoint with branded order tracking, proactive updates, and online returns management.

Additionally, the company has also invested in technology to capture customer feedback and deliver actionable insights across the organization. In 2018, the company also tapped an AI–powered virtual assistant to improve its closet consultations and bookings.
