Savvy retailers are using technology to engage shoppers and convert them into members who identify with the brand and grant it a deep sense of loyalty.
 
At the Retail Executive Summit, Ted Rudman, divisional VP, I&TG, pricing, marketing/loyalty, HR and Corporate Systems at Sears Holdings Corporation will discuss how the retailer is using a large Hadoop deployment, private cloud, big data and more to empower business units and improve business value. Sears Holdings is a strong proponent of intentional innovation, the concept that recognizes the value in pushing against boundaries to achieve and surpass set objectives. 
 
Ted Rudman is responsible for all marketing, pricing, loyalty, HR and corporate systems within the company. Rudman has been a leader in the adoption of Hadoop within the Sears enterprise and has extensive experience in evaluating, designing and integrating existing applications into the big data ecosystem. He and his team have developed best methods for integration as well as evaluating the Hadoop toolset to determine the best approach for different applications of the technology.
