Cosmetic Giant Reports Double-Digit Sales Increase
Estee Lauder reports that sales rose 16 percent to $2.3 billion in the second quarter ended December 31. The sales were led by its skin-care and makeup categories and strength in the Middle East, Africa, China, Australia and Korea. The company expects that those categories and markets will continue to add to the rest of its sales growth for the rest of fiscal 2008. The cosmetics and perfume company also incorporates the brands MAC, Aveda, Clinique and Sean John.
