Diamond Hard Intelligence

The data flowing out of Helzberg Diamonds' 260 stores is so new it shines. After launching a Netezza enterprise data warehouse (EDW) for operational business intelligence (BI) analytics, the nationwide retailer of diamonds, watches and precious gems can now run real-time reports at point of purchase.
The product replaces a system from another vendor that was not processing data within an acceptable timeframe. The old system was particularly problematic during peak selling seasons. Implementation of the Netezza EDW product followed an extensive testing period.
