Differentiating Through Analytics

07/28/2014
Big data and analytics are clearly the wave of the future and forward-thinking retailers are leveraging their power to differentiate themselves. With so much buzz surrounding the two terms however it becomes difficult to pinpoint the true business benefits.

At the inaugural Retail & Consumer Goods Analytics Summit, Michael Terpkosh, vice president, store services, SuperValu Inc. and a panel of cross-industry executives will attempt to cut through the buzz and discuss the value and impact of analytics on their businesses. Joining Terpkosh on stage for the "Differentiating Through Analytics: Getting it done. A Consumer Industries Perspective" general session will be analyst and moderator Gaurav Pant, SVP, research, EKN; Matthew Cook, director, business solutions, Danone North America – Operations; and Gayatri Patel, director, global data infrastructure, GP, eBay Inc.

Terpkosh is leading the development and implementation of enterprise-wide systems, processes and procedures in the areas of category strategy, retail execution, store operations and data strategy. He is responsible for developing and implementing highly effective processes and systems that ensure best-in-class category strategy development, store operation tactics, and data sharing.

The inaugural Retail & Consumer Goods Analytics Summit event will be held September 11-12, 2014 at the W Hotel in San Diego, California. The conference will feature keynotes from retail and consumer goods leaders, peer-to-peer exchanges and relationship building.
