Donna Karan Exposes Fashion Prowess at ARIL Luncheon

From Seventh Avenue in New York City's garment district to the stock exchange, Donna Karan's prowess in the fashion world has grown significantly. For more than 30 years, Karan has been recognized in global retailing as the founder and creative genius behind the fashion empire.
 
On Monday, January 14, 2013 from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. in Room North Hall, "Fashioning Retail's Global Lifestyle and Innovation with Donna Karan," chief designer Donna Karan, along with Shane Berry and Deborah Curtis of American Express, will delve into the opportunities and challenges of growing and maintaining a fashion business with multiple extensions, how technology changes the business, the role of social media and the impact of philanthropy.
 
During the Annual Retail Industry Luncheon (ARIL), NRF will also honor innovative retailers who have successfully positioned their companies above the rest. Recipients of this year's awards will include:
NRF Gold Medal Award: Jeffrey Bezos, Founder and CEO of Amazon.com
International Retailer of the Year: Christine Day, CEO of Lululemon
Retail Innovator of the Year: John McCarvel, CEO and President of Crocs, Inc.
 
The Luncheon is included in Full Conference registration, a Convention badge will be required to enter.
