DWS Goes Omnichannel With eBay Enterprise

Designer Shoe Warehouse (DSW) successfully implemented eBay Enterprise In-Store Pickup and Ship-to Store in 467 stores. The addition of these features represents a major milestone in DSW's omnichannel journey and customer-centric goal to deliver any shoe, anywhere, any time.

These new omnichannel fulfillment technologies augment DSW's Ship-from Store and Dropship capabilities also powered by eBay Enterprise.

"eBay Enterprise is a key partner in DSW's omnichannel evolution," says Carrie McDermott, COO at DSW. "We decided to work with eBay Enterprise for two key reasons: speed-to-market and ease of use.  We would not have been able to get these initiatives live as quickly on our own. Plus, our associates have found the application incredibly easy to use, which enables them to focus on servicing our customers' needs."

DSW began its omnichannel journey in 2011 with the creation of Shoephoria, its proprietary stock locator tool that uses inventory at its fulfillment center to meet stores orders. Two years later, DSW added Ship-from Store and Dropship capabilities. The deployment of In-Store Pickup and Ship-to Store represents the successful completion of DSW's early milestones, making every fulfillment option seamlessly available to its customers.

"DSW is setting a new bar for omnichannel excellence," says Tobias Hartmann, president of eBay Enterprise. "The DSW team understands that omnichannel is more than just technology. People and processes is really what makes it successful. As a global leader in omnichannel fulfillment with more than 9,000 stores and 26,000 dropship suppliers across North America, Europe and Asia, eBay Enterprise has a deep understanding of how all of these pieces fit together. Together, our collaboration will take DSW's omnichannel experience to the next level."
