Eco-friendly The Mountain Hires New CEO

Kenneth Ballard, former senior vice president of operations at Osprey Packs, has joined The Mountain as CEO, effective May 15, according to executive chairman Bridgit Lombard. The Mountain is an eco-friendly manufacturer of t-shirts, hoodies, tank tops and apparel featuring unique and creative images that appeal to a diverse audience.

Ballard and his family are in the process of relocating from Colorado to the Monadnock Region of New Hampshire. A proven outdoor and action sports industry leader and brand visionary, Ballard brings with him a unique and extensive skill set that will serve the team and brand well in his new role at The Mountain.

As president of iconic outdoor brand, Kelty, he created and implemented strategic direction, refining the brand, achieving record growth and solidifying the brand's value within the outdoor industry. In his most recent role with Osprey Packs, Ballard led strategic day-to-day operations and management for the business, and was a key member of the leadership team through the most profitable years in its history and laying the foundation for long term success.

On Ballard's announcement, Lombard said, "We are thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Kenny and have him lead this company forward. His energy, enthusiasm and expertise will be a huge asset for The Mountain as we dive into new categories and build a solid foundation for future growth."
