Engage! 2015: New Rules for Profit and Growth

By The Editors of RIS News - 10/20/2015
The 2nd Annual Engage! event brought together retail executives from every segment of the retail landscape to explore digital disruption, and the best way to leverage new technologies for profit and growth. The event was once again held at the Ritz-Carlton in Fort Lauderdale, FL, September 9-11, and featured keynotes from retail thought leaders, peer-to-peer exchanges, and plenty of opportunities for relationship building.

The event opened on the afternoon of Wednesday, September 9 with a well-attended pre-conference workshop on merging the online and in-store worlds and crafting a memorable, engaging customer experience. Following the opening workshop all attendees gathered for a relaxing cocktail reception.
The conference got into full swing Thursday morning with a jam-packed agenda. Among the highlights of the first full day of content included: an in-depth look by Forrester Research’s Sucharita Mulpuru on new rules for engaging and delighting customers that have them coming back for more; VP of technology Bob Gras discussed Chico’s FAS’ digitally infused store; Asif Khan, founder and president of the Location Based Marketing Association, explored the future of geo-location; and senior director of marketing and strategy at GameStop Eric Oria laid out how to best leveraging customer data.

The event came to a close on Friday with another day of killer content including an in-depth look at RIS/EKN Research’s 2nd Annual Customer Engagement Study; CEO of TrimFit Ryan M. Craver’s take on engaging the power of the brand; and a panel discussion with RIS’ editorial advisory board exploring emerging technology.
