Why PLM - Why PLM Now Online
On the agenda: This free online event, taking place from 2-3 p.m. EST, will be moderated by Apparel senior editor Jordan Speer and feature presentations from: Walter Wilhelm, president and CEO, Walter Wilhelm Associates LLC; Kevin Myette, director of research and development, Recreational Equipment Inc. (REI); and Kurt Andersen, vice president of industry solutions, MatrixOne. The webinar will provide an executive overview of PLM, insight into PLMs potential short- and long-term benefits and information about how REI plans to use its PLM implementation to deal with product development challenges and improve its organization. On the agenda: A session entitled Optimizing Your Network Your Logistics Network will be presented by Rick Jackson, executive vice president of logistics for Limited Brands Logistics Services Inc. and Mike Buttarazzi, director of transportation, Tractor Supply Co. Executives from Best Buy, Excel and IBM will offer a state-of-the-industry presentation about RFID. Wal-Marts global supply chain director Bill Shotwell and Richard Widdowson, director of replenishment, global logistics, will lead a presentation on On-Shelf Availability. There also will be two sessions about Chinas infrastructure and economic future.
