Executives Gain Insight into Results-Driven Retailing at RIS Retail Technology Conference

For retailers that are focused on improving performance and driving results, this year's 2009 Retail Technology Conference (RTC) is a must attend event. The 3rd annual invitation-only event will be held at The Rio All Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada from April 15-17, 2009. The theme of this year's conference is Results-Driven Retailing: Fusing Technology with Strategic Execution.

The event will feature an opening keynote presentation by Donald Hendricks, Senior Vice President, Information Technology, The Gymboree Corporation. Hendricks will address how retailers can manage costs and drive superior execution in order to successfully cope with today's new economic realities. He also will discuss top-of-mind challenges and solutions to help retailers lay the IT groundwork for survival today and growth tomorrow.

Top retail executive speakers at this year's event include:

-Keith Morrow, Sr. Vice President and CIO, Blockbuster
- Kevin Carleton, Director of Retail Automation, Hannaford Bros.
- Mercedes De Luca, Global Customer Experience and CIO, myShape.com
- Frank Zarrello, VP and Director of Planning and Allocation, Big M
- Ken Brame, Former CIO, Autozone

Retailers in attendance also will find out how the industry is adjusting to current economic pressures, a key session that will focus on the debut of the 19th Annual Retail Technology Trends Study. Gartner analyst Jeff Roster provides exclusive findings and analysis from The 2009 RIS/Gartner Retail Tech Trends Study, the retail industry's oldest and most authoritative IT trends and strategy report. This will be the first major industry study of the year that takes the pulse of retailers in the post-Christmas environment and the findings will set the stage for what will happen throughout 2009.

For 2009, RTC continues its successful hybrid model of must-attend speaker sessions combined with intimate networking opportunities and a select group of key industry vendors in a low-pressure environment.
