Floating on Air

Cellular South's holographic "floating phone" display is a far cry from the creepy holographic jewelry of the 1980s. Created for the chain's new Ridgeland, Miss. location, a five-foot, rotating translucent phone image features full motion video elements and 40 product information screens.

The digital display, which was created by Intava Corp., is projected onto holographic film. Seven-inch, high resolution screens provide information on every handset offered by Cellular South. A flexible, scalable platform allows the system to be managed remotely and updated. Customer usage is trackable.
