Footwear Retailer Shtofman to Improve Operations with Raymark

6/5/2009
Texas-based footwear retailer The Shtofman Co. Inc. has selected Raymark's Xpert-Series retail software solution and managed services for the combined server management and technical assistance. This should allow it to derive maximum efficiency and functionality from its retail applications.

According to Raymark, its Xpert-Series offers retailers integrated, flexible applications that streamline operations while providing the analytical tools required for improved decision-making.

"As we continued to grow, we were searching for a solution that would improve our procurement, allocation and replenishment processes," says Marvin Krasner, The Shtofman Co.'s CEO and president. "Raymark's Managed Services will allow us to better perform these tasks, with the added benefit of permanent monitoring and regular upgrades. Additionally, some of our stores cater solely to Spanish-speaking communities, making Xpert-Series multi-language functionality a key reason for having chosen the software."

The Shtofman Co. is a fourth-generation family-owned business that owns and operates 67 outlets throughout Texas named Factory Shoe Warehouse, Festival Shoes, Fiesta Shoes, San Shu and Melrose Shoes.

In other company news, Raymark has strengthened its presence in Asia through a partnership with Tokyo, Japan-based Toshiba TEC, whose retail hardware division provides point-of-sale (POS) terminals and electronic cash registers to retailers. Toshiba's primary business areas are retail information systems, office document processing systems, auto identification systems such as barcode printers and RFID equipment and Ink Jet print head production.

Both parties will now be able to provide a broader range of products and services to their customers. The companies' first joint implementation project was for Guess Taiwan.
