Friendly Parking Meter

A new parking meter lets customers pay with debit or credit cards. PhotoViolationMeters, or PVMs, created by Photo Violation Technologies are currently being tested in Vancouver, British Columbia and Niagra Falls, N.Y. The PVM offers convenient ways to pay, calls to warn customers that the meter is running low and allows them to pay for more time over the phone by credit card to avoid the risk of a ticket. It also provides free Internet hotspots.
