Full-Featured Mobile POS System Built On Android

Agilysys Inc., a provider of information technology and hospitality software solutions, has released a new mobile point-of-sale solution. The Agilysys InfoGenesis Mobile POS system is designed to increase efficiency and enhance guest service.

 

The InfoGenesis Mobile POS solution is a full-featured mobile point-of-sale application that integrates with the Agilysys InfoGenesis POS system. Built on Android, the solution leverages a Mobile Device Management (MDM) system to allow remote deployment of the applications.

 

Features include: support for multiple check types, both at the time of creation and while checks are still open; support for both required and optional modifiers; one-click item recording; summary check item view; and typed special instruction capabilities. The next version will add seat assignment support, barcode scanning, magnetic strip reading, signature capture, remote Bluetooth printing, split check capabilities and multiple language and currency support.

 

The application is based on key functionality found in the Agilysys InfoGenesis POS system as well as user recommendations and industry demands for wireless and handheld solutions.
