1/13/2010
Galeries Lafayette rolls out Oracle Retail applications across its 62 department stores in France and Germany. The department store retailer deploys Oracle Retail applications to create an integrated retail platform to centralize control of core merchandising capabilities and help improve management and integration of its inventory and replenishment processes.

The applications implemented include Oracle Retail Store Inventory Management, Oracle Retail Merchandising System, Oracle Retail Price Management, Oracle Retail Invoice Matching, Oracle Retail Sales Audit and Oracle Retail Allocation.

Galeries Lafayette also uses Oracle Retail applications to help facilitate its long-term growth strategies, which include expanding internationally, diversifying its offering, extending its ecommerce platform and consolidating item management across its formats. These applications were selected to replace the previous legacy system enabling Galeries Lafayette to create a single and integrated IT platform and a common set of retail processes for its stores.

Centralized activities around merchandise accounting, the ordering and receiving of goods, stock levels, supplier management and invoice matching for Galeries Lafayette has also helped deliver significant improvements in organizational productivity and data accuracy.
