Gap's Latest Retail Technology Investment

Gap Inc. has set out to drive end-to-end operational efficiencies and empower the business teams of its INTERMIX brand. To this end, the fashion retailer has deployed Oracle Retail Merchandising Foundation Cloud Service, Oracle Retail Merchandising Insights Cloud Service, Oracle Retail Integration Cloud Service and Oracle Retail Store Inventory Management running on the Oracle Cloud.

INTERMIX offers fashion forward styles from designers in 40 boutiques across the United States and Canada. Each boutique's assortment is hand-selected and localized to reflect the neighborhood and the lifestyles of their clients.  Gap sought to maintain a consistent merchandising platform to simplify operations.

Oracle Retail Merchandising Foundation Cloud Service with Oracle Retail Integration Cloud Service empowers retailers to synchronize end-to-end merchandising operations from buying to inventory valuation – driving to a single version of the truth.  Daily tasks such as purchase order approval and sales auditing are efficient and effective with exception-based dashboard notifications and alerts.

Through its modern analytics interface and exception-based reporting, Oracle Retail Merchandising Insights Cloud Service leverages the value of the merchandising data and identifies actionable opportunities across product, price, promotion and placement.
