Greg Buzek: Mythbusting the EMV Moment

The EMV liability shift is fast approaching but plenty of questions and myths are still swirling around the October 1 deadline for compliance. As the days and weeks begin to tick away until retailers can be held responsible for the fraud committed in their stores uncertainty about the regulation and its effect on the industry are still widespread.
EMV will forever change in-store payment but it is only one piece of the greater security question. At the 2015 RetailTechCon, Greg Buzek, president, IHL Group; donor trustee, Retail Orphan Initiative will explore the tricky landscape retailers are navigating as they manage new mobile, online and store payment systems in the age of massive data breaches and sophisticated cyber attacks.
Noted by the National Retail Federation in 2015 as one of "The List of People Shaping Retail's Future," Buzek has a Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from The Ohio State University, and 25 years of experience in retail market analysis, business planning, product development, and consulting with Fortune 500 companies. He is frequently quoted in BusinessWeek, RIS News, The Wall Street Journal, Time Magazine, and the Washington Post and has been used as a retail technology analyst on NBC Nightly News, CBS News, and CNBC. In addition Greg has been a guest lecturer for the Wharton School of Business and Belmont University.
