Wiser Solutions, Inc. launched on Sept. 14, with an all-in-one analytics platform for retail. Created from the merger of retail technology firms, Quad Analytix and Mobee, Wiser eliminates the need for point solutions, allowing brands and retailers to collect, analyze and act on data with workflow software, across their online and offline footprints. Current clients include Skullcandy, GoPro and TrackR, among others.
Quad Analytix, based in San Mateo, Calif., translates e-commerce data into action for brands and retailers. In 2016, Quad Analytix acquired a retail pricing firm, Wise Ecommerce Ltd., to enhance its data collection and pricing automation capabilities. Mobee, based in Boston, uses crowdsourcing and mobile technology to collect, organize and analyze in-store retail data at scale.
“The rapid evolution of omnichannel creates the perfect opportunity to combine Quad Analytix and Mobee as a new market leader,” said Andy Ballard, CEO of Wiser, and former founder and CEO of Quad Analytix. “Brands and retailers are struggling to drive business decisions with omnichannel data from disparate sources. We’re empowering our clients with a one-stop-shop for high-quality data, analytics and workflow automation.”
Nearly 40 percent of retailers ranked the “ability to turn customer data into intelligent and actionable insight” as one of their greatest challenges, according to the PwC Total Retail 2017 Survey. Wiser is a single source partner by design, with solutions for every aspect of retail, including:
- Historical & Trended Pricing
- Promotional Analysis
- Assortment Intelligence
- Competitive Benchmarking
- In-store Shelf Health
- Rule based Repricing

Using a unique combination of data science and human validation, Wiser empowers clients to customize how data is collected, analyzed and integrated into their existing workflows. Real-time alerting functions enable clients to act on the insights manually or automate the decision-making process at scale.
Wiser serves the retail industry immediately, but plans to deliver a global solution to enhance decision making for many other markets, including financial services and consulting.
“Our foundational platform has broad appeal across industries,” said Hal Charnley, president of Wiser, and former CEO of Mobee. “We aim to deliver our unique online and offline solutions across new vertical markets, where scalable, accurate data collection and actionable insights are fundamental to success.”
Wiser has more than 130 employees and is headquartered in San Mateo with offices in Boston, Israel and the U.K.
