Insider's Look at the 26th Annual Tech Trends Study

By Tim Denman - 03/22/2016
Keeping abreast of the current trends, technologies and strategies is a key component of any retail executive's employment. In order to succeed in the increasingly competitive retail space an organization must be able to benchmark their initiative against the industry to ensure that they are not only keeping pace with the speed of change, but staying ahead of the curve.

At RetailTechCon 2016, RIS editorial director Joe Skorupa and Gartner research director Robert Hetu will take the stage to premier the 26th Annual Retail Technology Study. This year's edition of the annual benchmark report is entitled "Personalization: It’s All About Me!," and explores the strategies, challenges and technologies of more than 100 retailers, including Walmart, Staples, Walgreens, Home Depot, Delhaize America, Costco, Macy’s, The Gap, Albertson’s and more. The deep data pool allowed Skorupa and Hetu to do more cross-tab analysis by segment than ever before and take deeper looks into more than 80 technology solutions.

Hetu is a research director with the Gartner Retail Industry Services team, and his responsibilities involve tracking the technology markets and trends impacting the broad-based retail merchandising and planning areas as well as advanced analytics for retail. He is an expert in the areas of brand, vendor and assortment management, merchandise planning, allocation, and replenishment.

RetailTechCon 2016 will be held March 30-April 1, at the Ritz Carlton, Orlando, Florida. The conference features keynotes from retail leaders, peer-to-peer exchanges, relationship building, and a golf outing. For more information, to view the full agenda, or to register for the event click here.
