The Inspired Future of Retail

12/16/2014
The speed at which the retail industry evolves forces every retailer to be part soothsayer. Retailers must keep their gaze firmly planted on the horizon and be able to accurately predict tomorrow's trends today.

At the 2015 RetailTechCon, renowned retail futurist Douglas Stephens will discuss his view of the future of retail and help those in attendance devise a plan to stay on the cutting edge as the industry continues to progress. Stephens' opening keynote presentation "Inspired Retailing: Collaborate, Connect, Innovate" will explore how technology is rapidly changing the face of retail and how retailers can best leverage it to ensure future success.

Stephens' intellectual work and thinking have influenced many of the world’s best-known retailers, agencies and brands including Target, Home Depot, Disney, Crayola, WestJet, Citibank, Razorfish and Air Miles. Prior to founding Retail Prophet, Stephens spent 20 years in the retail industry, holding senior international roles including the leadership of one of New York City's most historic retail chains.

Stephens is the author of the ground-breaking book "The Retail Revival: Re-Imagining Business for the New Age of Consumerism." He is also the consumer technology contributor on the acclaimed television series App Central TV, as well as the retail contributor for CBC Radio Canada. He co-hosts the popular web TV series, "The Future In Store" and sits on the board of the Dx3 technology conference.

The 2015 RetailTechCon will be held March 25-27, at the Hyatt Regency, Orlando, Florida. The conference features keynotes from retail leaders, peer-to-peer exchanges, relationship building, and a golf outing. For more information, to view the full agenda, or to register for the event click here.
