Levi Strauss Partners With Capgemini on Business Intelligence
Levi Strauss & Co. is working with Capgemini, a provider of consulting, technology and outsourcing services, to manage its applications management work around enterprise business intelligence (BI) and data warehouse solutions. The agreement builds on Capgemini's previous applications work and continued relationship with Levi Strauss & Co., which began in 2008.
As a global apparel company, Levi Strauss & Co. leverages multiple BI and analytics systems to support its retail and wholesale business units. Under the terms of the agreement, Capgemini will work with Levi Strauss & Co. to develop and implement an integrated platform – including the SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence platform 4.0 – designed to provide a single, global and broad based analysis of the data flowing within the enterprise.
"Our continued success as a global business is dependent on our ability to react quickly to the data moving through our enterprise," said Tammy Amirault, vice president Application Services, Levi Strauss & Co. "It became clear a few years ago that we needed a solution that would give us a holistic view of our data across regions, while allowing us to accurately analyze it. We are confident that our relationship with Capgemini will allow us to develop a world-class retail BI solution that will help us drive revenue and decrease costs across our business."
Capgemini will work with alliance partners SAP and Teradata, and integrate their solutions to create and support a network that will allow Levi Strauss & Co. to maintain a high level of data efficiency throughout its organization.
