Women's apparel chain The Limited is closing all 250 stores nationwide. The company said in a message on its website, "We’re sad to say that all The Limited stores nationwide have officially closed their doors. But this isn’t goodbye. The styles you love are still available online - We’re just a quick click away 24 hours a day."
Following the announcement, The Limited began offering 50% off 'every single thing' on their website.
In December, The Limited announced massive layoffs at its New Albany, Ohio headquarters as it searched for a buyer to keep it afloat. It appears now the retailer was unable to find a buyer.
The retailer is a Sun Capital Partners portfolio company, a private investment firm.
