Lion Gets VoIP

Food Lion LLC, a member of Brussels-based Delhaize Group, has selected AT&T to assist Food Lion in migrating from its legacy voice system to a new Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) telephony system. The project includes a phased migration of 1,500 users from Food Lion's existing Private Branch Exchange telephone infrastructure to a managed VoIP solution. Food Lion will work with AT&T's Integration Solutions team to manage upgrades to many of its telephony related applications for the new VoIP solution. The new VoIP system will serve as the foundation for future IP-based collaboration tools.
