Gap Inc. has named Simon Kneen as executive vice president of design and creative director for Banana Republic. Kneen most recently served as creative design director for the Retail Brand Alliance, where he led the creative vision for brands such as Brooks Brothers and Adrienne Vittadini.
Tony Brown has joined Kathryn Conover, a division of the Ronni Nicole Group, as vice president of sales and creative director for the collection. Brown comes to Kathryn Conover with more than 20 years of experience in the fashion industry, most recently as national sales manager for Max & Cleo, a division of the BCBG Max Azria Group.

American Sporting Goods, manufacturer of athletic footwear and apparel, has hired Rob Purvy as a general manager to oversee business and product development for the And 1, NSS, Triple Five Soul and Avia Retro brands. Purvy brings more than 20 years of experience in footwear manufacturing and development to the company, including stints at Vans and adidas.
Saucony Inc., supplier of performance athletic footwear and apparel, has appointed Mary (Creedon) O'Brien to the role of vice president of marketing. Previously, O'Brien served as a marketing consultant with The First Years Inc., but began her career at Saucony 20 years ago. Also, the company has promoted Pete Calichman from senior director of corporate accounts to vice president of national accounts.
