Tween Brands has appointed Rolando de Aguiar as executive vice president and CFO. De Aguiar was most recently a managing director with Abacus Advisors, a New York City-based management advisory company, and also served as the chief administrative officer at Ames Department Stores.
The American Apparel & Footwear Association (AAFA) has promoted Nate Herman from director to senior director of international trade and Susan Lapetina from director to senior director of industry relations. Herman, responsible for trade lobbying, has been with AAFA for six years and Lapetina, whose duties include working with AAFA's staff developing education programming, has been with the organization for nine years.
Gary De Bay has been named executive vice president of global strategy and marketing for ski wear company Spyder Active Sports after serving as a consultant to the brand since November 2007. De Bay is responsible for the global brand strategy and marketing for Spyder Ski, Spyder Active and Spyder Venom lines and the recently acquired Cloudveil Mountain Works brand.
