maurices, the best kept billion-dollar secret in retail with over 1,000 stores in North America, introduces a fall campaign, #mauriceslovesteachers, to recognize, celebrate and reward teachers across the nation for the service they provide in their communities.
The campaign will include highlighting teachers in towns across the U.S. and Canada, in stores and across all digital and social media channels. It will provide school style how-to's and honor teachers with contests and gifts including gift cards for school supplies, shopping sprees, and special discounts.
maurices is partnering with teacher influencers including Mrs. Casual, The Creative Classroom, and Everyday Ellis to showcase style in and out of the classroom, including First Day of School looks, and provide interviews highlighting the incredible work teachers accomplish in the classroom each day.
In September the brand is running a sweepstakes with over $20,000 worth of prizes for multiple teachers to win a new school wardrobe for themselves and supplies for their classrooms. They recognize that teachers often have to pay for classroom supplies out of their own pockets.
"We are excited about this campaign because teachers are at the heart of each community we serve, and we are delighted to have the opportunity to put them in the spotlight and acknowledge them for the role they play in shaping the lives of children," says George Goldfarb, president & CEO of the Value Fashion Segment, which includes iconic brands maurices & dressbarn. Goldfarb continues, "maurices core values are founded on supporting women and children in the towns where we have stores, and giving women an opportunity to express their personal style. This campaign is a unique opportunity for us to honor these exceptional teachers and support them in the important work they do."
