New CVS Mobile App Offers Customizable Shopping Lists and Rx Refills
Anywhere they go, CVS/pharmacy customers will now be able to create customized shopping lists, access weekly promotion offers, and refill their prescriptions from a personalized Rx history, with the retailer's new mobile app for the iPhone and other Apple devices.
"We have introduced the CVS/pharmacy mobile application to give customers the ability to manage prescriptions and access important health information from any location," said Rob Price, senior vice president of marketing and CMO for CVS/pharmacy, adding that the application will allow customers to plan shopping trips in advance using the retailer's mobile circular.
The free, downloadable app also lets CVS customers:
• Find nearby CVS locations using the GPS-based store locator with integrated driving directions and maps
• Transfer prescriptions from another pharmacy to CVS
• Access the Drug Information Center to retrieve medical management information including instructions for use, dosing, side effects and relevant safety warnings
• Schedule a flu shot at any CVS/pharmacy location.
CVS operates more than 7,100 CVS/pharmacy and Longs Drug stores.
