The New Retail Experience: Hear From the Experts

Technological innovation continues to redefine retailers' strategies and roadmaps for future investment. But with so many emerging technologies on the market retailers must be able to pinpoint the true game changers and focus their efforts on those deployments that will have a significant positive effect on the bottom line.
 
At RetailTechCon 2016, editorial director Joe Skorupa will sit down with Editorial Advisory Board members Robert Fort, CIO, BCBG; Robert Hetu, research director - retail, Gartner; and Steve Methvin, VP, e-commerce/retail technology, Bozzuto's and discuss the impact emerging digital disruptive technologies are having on the market place and the customer experience. Among the topics covered will be personalization, predictive analytics, location-based marketing, and mobile payment technology.
 
Fort is a Computerworld Premier 100 IT Leader with over 30 years of IT development, innovation, and senior/c-level management experience.  He has championed and implemented some of the earliest and most successful ERP, real-time business intelligence, retail kiosk, voice-over-IP (VoIP), system management, and eCommerce/omnichannel implementations. 
 
Hetu responsibilities at Gartner involve tracking the technology markets and trends impacting the broad-based retail merchandising and planning areas as well as advanced analytics for retail. He is an expert in the areas of brand, vendor and assortment management, merchandise planning, allocation, and replenishment.
 
Steve joined Bozzuto's, a total service wholesale distributor to over 800 Food Retailers in New England, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Maryland, in 2007. He looks for innovative ways to improve the retail customer experience in the store, at special events, and on-line through automation while keeping data security needs and digital trends in focus for the independent retailer.
