Nielsen Brings on Chandler Bigelow as CFO

06/03/2020
Chandler Bigelow

Nielsen Global Connect.has brought on Chandler Bigelow, formerly of Tribune Media Company, as its new CFO

Bigelow spent 21 years at Tribune, where he oversaw all aspects of finance, including treasury, pension and risk management, investor relations, financial reporting, SEC reporting/compliance, internal audit and tax.

He also managed the spin-off of Tribune’s newspaper publishing business and served as Tribune’s representative on the CareerBuilder, Classified Ventures, TV Food Network and The Cooking Channel boards.

“This is an exciting time to join the Nielsen Global Connect organization,” Bigelow said. “Never in our lifetime has data analytics for the consumer packaged goods and retail sectors been more crucially important. Nielsen Global Connect is a key institution within the global consumer marketplace and I am proud to be a part of it. I look forward to working with David Rawlinson and Linda Zukauckas, CFO of Nielsen, and the rest of the leadership team as we stand up two strong, independent companies.”

Lindblom will report directly to John Hartmann, COO and president of Buybuy Baby, and will lead the retailer’s enterprise technology transformation.

Although labor has served as AutoZone’s largest expense, the retailer for years struggled with inflexible workforce management systems that were capped off by poor integrations.

Bankrupt JCPenney is being rescued by mall owners Simon and Brookfield, while off-price pioneer Century 21 Stores is calling it quits.
