Nordstrom: The 112-Year-Old Startup

02/24/2014
Nordstrom is involved in a multi-year transformation project that encompasses every aspect of the company, including culture, technology and customer experience. The department store chain is constantly evolving and encourages its employees to think as if the century-old brand is in fact a 112-year-old startup.

In a keynote address at the 2014 Retail Technology Conference, Sam Hogenson, VP, Technology, Nordstrom will explain why the retailer views itself as a startup and will provide insight into the company's continuous transformation. Hogenson supports customer-facing technologies, business architecture, and the innovation and people labs. Currently, he is focused on technology that enables associates to deliver exceptional/innovative service to customers.

The eighth annual Retail Technology Conference will be held April 9 – 11, 2014 at the Hilton Bonnet Creek in Orlando, Florida. The conference features keynotes from retail leaders, peer-to-peer exchanges, a merchandising symposium and relationship building. For more information and to view the full agenda click here.
