A& P FY Results Remain Flat

The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company (A&P) reports sales for fiscal year 2006 were $4.06 billion, flat as compared to fiscal year 2005's sales of $3.93 billion. However, same-store sales increased by 0.4 percent. Fourth quarter net income was $1.7 million, up from a loss of $14.6 million during the same period of 2005. Sales for the fourth quarter rose 0.6 percent to $1.08 billion.
