Pier 1, Lululemon and Golfsmith Launch E-Gifting with CashStar

07/19/2013
CashStar, a digital gifting company, announced that in the first half of 2013 it has added more than a dozen global retailers and restaurants to its B2C and B2B digital gifting platform, and has expanded into international markets. CashStar added 300 brands to its roster, including Dunkin' Donuts, Brookstone, Pier 1, lululemon athletica and Golfsmith.

"Consumer demand and advances in technology, particularly related to mobile, have propelled digital gifting from a nice-to-have to a need-to-have offering for today's global brands. CashStar created this category and we consistently delivery product and marketing innovations to our clients to keep them ahead of the curve," said Steven Boal, CashStar CEO. "More than ever, major brands around the world continue to rely on us for e-gifting and the strategic advantage that our platform enables when e-gifts are used to drive customer acquisition, engagement, loyalty and increasingly, adoption of mobile payments."

CashStar has also signed a number of major brands, including FTD.com and Red Robin to its B2B platform for bulk purchases and API integration with distribution partners.

The digital gifting company has also expanded internationally with retailers in the U.K., including B&Q, a DIY and home improvement retailer. CashStar now operates the consumer e-gifting programs for 15 brands outside of North America, with another 11 slated to go live in the next month across Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, and the European Union.
