Recover Brands Launches Made in the Carolinas Line
Inspired by the rich textile heritage of North Carolina, Recover Brands, a sustainable apparel manufacturer based in Charlotte, NC, is launching its Made-In-The-Carolinas line of clothing. The collection, which features socks, shirts and a beanie, is entirely made within a 150-mile radius of their headquarters.
Recover will be creating 100 percent recycled and sustainable clothing and accessories from this move, sourcing everything from the recycled plastic, to upcycled cotton, to cut-and-sew and distribution, within a 150-mile radius of Charlotte, NC.
This will also help reduce the company's carbon emissions, a goal ingrained in its mission statement. Recover also aims to drive support for local jobs, education, and communities close to home.
“We’re based in North Carolina, so NC textiles are in our DNA,” said Recover co-founder, Bill Johnston. “Supporting our textile heritage and local communities is so important to us, so we want to do everything we can to support our local economy.”
